Fun with loads of pending work and deadlines looming

23rd August 2010

Hi Folks,

How are you??Hope you all are doing fine and had a nice weekend. Today I am going to share with you my today's experience which is kinda of mixed experience endued with both work and enjoyment running parallely at the same time. As the deadline for conference paper submission is coming nearer pressure for completing the same asap is increasing. Weather being awesome in Bangalore for the past two days, perfect weather to go outside and enjoy I must say. I too was longing for having the chance to go outside and party with friends. But Alas!! I am running the race against time as the deadline for submission is looming and weekend being the only time where you can work more energetically, free from office worries and tensions.

So, my today's day goes like this. I wake up around 8 AM in the morning, had my breakfast, of course after brushing, bathing etc. I was not good at health since I was down with headache for past 2 days and was getting a feeling that soon I will be getting the fever. But then also the self-satisfaction which I will be getting after completing the paper gave me enough courage and strength to proceed for the work -:). From 9 AM in the morning I stared working along with Abhishek to kick off the best algorithmic approach which is applicable for our work. We kept on discussing about the various approach, there pros and cons respectively. Till lunch there was no significant output. But after lunch we came with the algorithm which seems to be working fine in all cases. It was like a big wawwwww for us. Our joys knew no bounds. We were very much satisfied with ourselves. But as we started investigating further depth into our algorithm we came across few drawbacks which further added to our worries. But finally after working and discussing on the same we are able to get the solution for all drawbacks of our proposed algorithm. It is 1 AM in the morning(next day) when we are able to complete our work finally. I would not say complete but to be more specific we are able to clear the major hurdle towards our paper completion. At the end we both are feeling self-satisfied and atleast we can have sound sleep now!!!

Learning of the day: "Keep working, you gonna succeed!!!"

That's it for now guys, keep in touch GUD NITE.....SAYONARA!!!

Weekend trip @ Black Thunder, Kotagiri and OoTy

16th August, 2010

Hi Folks,

Today I will be sharing with you my weekend(13th & 14th August) experience @ "Black Thunder, Kotagiri and OoTy" with you. This was one of the memorable experience whose reminiscence I want to keep it forever in my memory that's why I thought of capturing it through the blog post. We, in a group of eight started our journey from Bangalore at 1:00 am early in the morning on 13th of August. It was an eight hours journey before we reach our first destination spot "Black Thunder".
Black Thunder - It is the Asia's No. 1 Water theme Amusement Park. On the backdrop of it Nilgiri Hills is situated adding to the beauty of Black Thunder. We enjoyed lots of dry rides as well as wet rides, namely cannon ball ride, lazy river ride, wave pool etc over here along with boating. After having lots of fun for around six hours we left for our second destination "Kotagiri".

Kotagiri - It is located on the top of the Nilgiri Hills and is one of the most popular hill stations located in the Nilgiris. On the way you will see lots of natural views and sight scenes which will not make you sleepy throughout the journey -:). Being the hilly area journey will be full of zig-zag paths and your body will be tested for fitness -:). If you are a nature freak then I suggest you to make a visit over here, I can guarantee that you will enjoy a lot over here. Lots of tea estates and cottages can be seen here and there. I was on ninth cloud after being to such a beautiful place. This was like the life time experience for me. After making a stay for one night at Kotagiri cottages and some of the sight view, including Catherine falls, Dolphin nose etc, we left for OoTy on Sunday morning.

OoTy - It is located at a distance of around 16 km from Kotagiri. OoTy is also known as the "Queen of Hill stations" being famous for its natural beauty and tea plantations. Lots of tea plantation and tea factory can be seen throughout@ OoTy. We made a visit to one of the tea factories and tea museum where, we came to know about the various process involved in the tea processing. After gathering knowledge about the tea processing we made our way to "Botanical garden", another famous place for which OoTy is known. Lots of valuable medicinal plants can be seen over here. You can also find lots of trees with some unique shapes adding to the beauty of the garden. You can also make a sight seen preview in toy trains, although we did not have due to lack of time -:(.

Finally after 2 days of wonderful weekend we returned back with our hearts longing to have this visit opportunity once again in the near future.

Above experience that I have shared is just a preview of my trip, although there is lots more to share and I can keep on writing and writing...

My Tirupathi trip review!!

4th July 2010

Hi friends,

Its been quiet a sometime that
i have not written anything into this blog. So i thought of adding something new to it. I have lots of thing to share but really i am lagging in time. So; i am sharing herein one of my best experience@Tirupathi trip, whose memories i also thought of capturing it through this post...

Way to the temple:

There is a misnomer leading the actual name of this temple. People in north india do call it Tirupathi Balaji temple but the actual naming is bit different. Tirumala is a place situated on the top of hill with total seven number of peaks. The base town of this hill is known as Tirupathi while the top one is known is Tirumala. Temple of swami Venkateshawara is located in Tirumala on one of the peak. It is a dipsy doodle way from Tirupathi to Tirumala but convenience in locomotion is available. One can go to the top in his personal or hired vehicle. The way to Tirumala passes through a 'zoological park' followed by an old fort.

About the temple:

Temple is of some god swami Venkateshawara, a black statue with lots of followers shouting the name of "Govinda"... lots of its parts are covered with pure gold coverings and shooting within the temple premises is not allowed at all. Lots of commercialization can be easily seen as the tickets are available in various ranges. i mean one need to buy a ticket for the darshan. The more you pay for the ticket the more easy will be your darshan.Free darshan is very hectic coz of huge crowd. On one of the external side of temple one gate is situated on the top known as "Uttar Dwar" (Northern gate).. i don't know the significance of that gate but lots of people do praise that gate too. On the back of the temple, huge statue of lakshmi is situated that is made totally of gold. Next to it is the Hundi in which people do donate lots of money to the temple. I had seen people weighing their kids with money and donating the equivalent coins to the temple. I don't know why but people do posses faith in donating abundant of money at the back of the temple. There is also a custom of shaving heads over there.

Other places to visit:

Paapvinashnam tirtham: It's a natural shower sprouting the water down from a hill. People believe that bathing in this shower will free one from all his past sins. I am not sure about the authenticity of this fact but i had a bath over there. i mean the place is good. No risk shower in the vicinity of natural scenery.

Aakash ganga: Its a mountain sprouting water out from its facing side. No one knows from where the water is coming within that mountain hence they beleive it to be coming from the sky and called it as Aakash ganga (Sky ganges). One board describes a story behind that water as it is a gift given to queen padmavati by the brother on her marriage ceremony.

Museum: A very good museum with lots of ancient statues and encryptions. I had seen one 13th century stone encrypting the directions with their influencing gods as follows:

North : Kuber
South: Yum
East: Indra
West: Varun

Again this information is totally based upon the encryption present over the stone hence no claim for its authenticity.

Overall it was a wonderful one day trip and i enjoyed a lot!!
Hope to visit this place once again...

That's it for now friends. Have a wonderful day!!

Happiness is everywhere around you, all you need is to...

15th May 2010

Today I am free and thought of adding something new to my blog. While going to the flashback of my memories I found a small incidence that happened with me whose reminiscence is still present in some corner of my memory as fresh as it has just happened now.

It was 12th December night(exact day I don't remember but time was around 10:30 PM) I was alone in my room @ Gurgaon. I was having no work to do and I was feeling sort of uncomfortable or you can say sort of boredom(better term). Weather outside was chilling and wind was blowing gently adding further to the chilled weather, so it was not possible for me to go outside for a walk. So I thought of having some tea for both reason, to refresh my mood and as a sign of relief to overcome the chilling weather. So, I went to downstairs tea-stall where I usually used to go for having tea and snacks on weekends. After reaching the tea-stall I ordered one tea for me and started reading the newspaper till the time tea gets prepared. While reading the newspaper I was giving a glance to the tea-stall person to check whether tea has been prepared or not. From his action it seems that he was having no interest in preparing the tea(as it used to be the other day). By seeing his face I get a feeling that he is gloomy and feeling dejected.

Initially I thought of interrupting him and asking are you ok but then I thought its not a good idea. When the tea was ready and he served to me then I asked him a with a great heart "you does not seems to be ok". He initially got scared and then said why do you say this sir what happened? I said I am just guessing by the expression that is in your face. He said everything is ok sir and then after some time he came near to me and then in a weak voice tone said sir, I have a small problem. I said, what's that? he said my mobile is not working since afternoon so I am not able to inform to my parents that today I will be late to home as I am having some urgent work. I smiled and said ohhh then take my mobile and make a call. He initially resisted and said then he will manage but on forcing him he agreed to make a call. After having a conversation with his parents he smiled and forwarded my mobile to me and said thanks for all your kind help. Today you have been of great help for me. And from that day he used to behave like a friend to me. He used to share his day to day experience and thought with me. On that day I was feeling very much satisfied with myself and my mood got fresh and energetic.

I learned two valuable lessons from this incidence:

1) Helping in difficult situation is one of the greatest gift which you can give to others.
2) Happiness is everywhere around you, all you need is to explore it.

Finally, "Experience is the only way to get through this life" - Feel it, Live it, Face it and most importantly Enjoy it!!!

Have a wonderful Day!!
